Cool

Maybe a link off the front page or control panel would have been better?

I had only been a member for about 2 months and never knew the forums existed.

@TheVoidz:

check your account for /home/<account>/<account>/.

During the move my account ended up under /home/atlantic/atlantic. Looks like something happened during the move and when it was restarted the restore put my account down another level - a bit weird, but hey these things happen.

Cheers,

Unhappy Add on domains

Hi guys,

Yeah, my add-on domains have dissappeared, too.

Should I try and set them up myself?

And I guess we can't *really* have them with these accounts, can we?

ie: the add-on www.add-on.com

actually points to - www.myprimaryaccount.com/add-on-directory

If so I guess that means you have to buy a new account for resale instead of reselling under 1 account?

(Although in my case the 2 add-on's are different sites that are extensions of my main biz.)

Thanks for your help

Hey mediaceo,
See rhino's post above. We believe all of the addon domains were transferred over in a quirky way so to speak. Try to recreate them exactly as you had on the old PWH server and hopefully they will work right after that with all the information in tact. Please let us know how it goes.

mediaceo,

Once the option appeared in the cpanel, I recreated my addon domains and they became active in DNS about 30-60 minutes later.

(Email seemed to start working off and on before I recreated the addon domains).

Try readding them and see what happens...

OK, says its back but...

Hi Steven:

OK - I setup the add-on domains and they appear to be showing on the Control Panel - but how long before they start "resolving" on the web?

(Thankfully the mail accounts are still in order)

Also - what's your recommended package for web site resellers, Steven? How do you work it over here?

Thanks

Hey Media,
About an hour or two for resolution for the addon domains, since all the accounts were transferred over. As far as the reseller question what do you mean the recommended package? Do you mean which package is the best seller for IH? If so, our Personal reseller is, but clients often end up upgrading on a consistent basis. I would say that that package is best for all clients thinking about reselling, because it gives them a good indication of their needs.

PWH Help!

Hello All! New Here!

I have been trying to contact PW Hosting with no success. There are two phone numbers on the site, both are wrong. They are phone numbers for "Friendly Chevrolet" And the help desk link is a "404 Error" page. All of this does not speak well for a web hosting company.

My problem is that I am setting up a new web site for a new client. The previous site was abandoned by the previous web master so I do not have access to the control panel. I need to upload the new site or change the DNS settings to move the URL to a new server but I just can't get to anyone at PW Hosting. Very frustrating! Any suggestions? Is PWH now part of Insider Hosting?

Thanks very much!
John

I am not aware of PWHosting, but if its been taken over by Steven and his crew you should be in fine hands. There is a possibility of somethings overlooked on the original website?

But you can always reach Steven and "da crew" at:
