Hi, first off your services have come highly recommended to me and by the looks of the foum and all the pleased customers i can see why!! So I just have a couple of easy questions before I make the move to IH:
1) I have two domains that I would like to transfer from another hosting company(whos name doesnt even deserve to be spoken) and I would like to manage them both from one account, is this possible?
2) I use Movable Type for blogging and what not, there are some perl modules that are needed for it to run properly. they are:
DB_File(i dont think this is necessary if i use mysql)
DBD::mysql
Image::Magick
Are these mod's preinstalled? if not would you be willing to install them.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Eddie,
Yes with our multiple domain packages, you can control both of the domains from one account (master account). Each domain will get their own control panel, ftp accounts, subdomains, email accounts, and login information, etc...

We have many clients using MT on our servers and all of the above modules are installed. To take a look at all of the installed modules that your account will go on, please look at www.insidersupport.com/cgi-bin/perldiver/perldiver.cgi
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Whoa!! Steven, your response time was great!!! Is that what I can look forward to with IH? You covered most of my concerns. So what steps do I need to take to move my domains here and I also need to re-register the names (they expire sep 14th ish)? Can i do all this with IH?
thanks again

Ed,
Don't want to spoil you too much already. Have a look at the following thread:
http://forums.insiderhosting.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9
Anyways, we are also a domain registrar so you are welcome to have us transfer the domains and we will setup the account for you. When a domain is transferred to us we charge $15 for the transfer and that fee also includes another year of domain registration, so your domain won't expire until or around Sept. 14, 2003.
As far as moving your domains to us the first step is to signup for an account. Go to our homepage and click on the order plans button. Then once we receive confirmation that your order passed our fraud checks, your account will be setup shortly thereafter.

ps i hope that you guys continue to practice business in the same fashion long into the future. It is a model that I think every web hosting company should follow. And if you ever have a need for a graduating (may 2003) Business Student, I'm your man!!!

It's a wise choice to be coming abord with Insider Hosting. I have been with them for about two months now and I can honestly say that I really do not have one complaint about them what-so-ever.
It's defiantly the best tech support that I have ever gotten from any hosting company.
I agree Chris!
I got on-board with them in March and never regretted it. :) In fact, I think I was the first with Movable Type, so I broke them in. Heh.

I'll jump in as another very happy customer, though I've only been here a little over a week.
I, too, moved two domains from a different hosting company that just turned out to be awful. Everything works, here! :) The only thing that seemed odd was that I had to statically allocate space and bandwidth to my domains, here. At my prior host, I managed both domains from the same control panel, and they used pooled bandwidth and space. Here, they each have their own control panel, space and bandwidth, and don't seem to be related. Not a problem for me, just different.

Hi Eddie,
Just wanted to add to what other have posted...as I started here about 2 months ago with a multi-domain package. Its very easy to start up and allocate resources. I've asked support (e.g. Steven, Tal) a bunch of questions and you always get a friendly and helpful response. Even if you ask to upgrade or change things around a bit, they are always happy to help.
I moved from a pretty reputable host since they didn't offer the multi-domain packages and I'm quite happy here. IH is always coming out with new stuff and looking to improve their services.
So welcome aboard! :D
