Quick update saying that as planned, we have started the transfer process of our client data from the old Lexus server to our new dual xeon replacement. We will update you on how everything is going throughout the day. So far we have transferred over the packages, now we are transferring over the data.

The data has been moved over, we will now forward the dns and email any clients on this server with their new nameserver IPs.

Hi,
Is it possible that anyway emails might of gone to the old lexus server during the switch over?
Just would of expected some emails here in Australia over night and also I checked my email at work yesterday and left a copy on the server as always so i could download them at home. But when I got home there were no emails existing so I assume the switch happened during the timeframe.
Would it be possible I can access the old lexus server just to make sure?
Thanks

Hi Hightower,
It is possible, but we will also forward all mails sent to the old server. The old lexus server is still online. You can login to your control panel by visting your old IP address/cpanel.

My mistake :)
The firewall I use has a DNS cache plugin so I was being directed to old server still. After clearing the cache I got the new server :)
Edit: Just noticed in CPanel the server has 4 CPUs, Nice ! :D

It says 4 CPUs because they are Dual Hyper-Threading Xeons.
2 CPUs, that can each run two processes simultaneously = 4 CPUs according to almost all hardware detection software.
