OK, I was editing a package to ready some space for a new account of mine, and a package name came up I've never seen, and THEN someone types in a space somewhere in the middle of the panel "hmmmm...you don't own this account. What are you up to here?"
Anyone know what the $@#% that was? lol! I am no hacker/cracker, but if I accidently jumped from my panel into something else because of the 'virtualserver' thing, then hmmm, I don't know, man, I just don't know....

Wow - that's definately strange. That's really one of those things that make you go "Hmmmmmmm..." I wonder what Steven (aka "big brother") has been up to lately?? :D

Speaking of Steven, I just emailed the helpdesk. Maybe they are being playful. Maybe my part of the server is built over an old Indian burial site. (spooky moosic starts)

There are one of those things that only the helpdesk could answer, and did. Let's continue this via the helpdesk, but i'm sure it was nothing.... We just need more information than you provided.

OldPhart,
don't touch the monitor man...
I know what the voices in the static is saying,
but what ever you do don't touch it...
You'll release hell on earth,
it will take years of sequels and ****e to clean it all up... :)

I know you said it's in the HelpDesk, but PSA for everyone. Normally, when someone hijacks your text input spot, that's a hacker. I remember when someone hacked my dad's computer long ago, and then hijacked my ICQ conversations...
Scariest dang things EVER. Traumatizing a little 10 year old like that...for shame. I hit the kill switch on our surge box and ran out of the room screaming (how's that for a mental image).
Heh, sounds like when I played Level 4 of Doom 1, but that's a totally different rant ;).

Also, I do not know the extent on the WHM/CPanel, so this is just speculation on my part. I'm not saying Oldie over there was hacked, just relaying my experiences.

Ok, before this thread gets out of hand, we had a package named the same prefix as he did, that was where the confusion set in. He tried to edit one of our packages with the same prefix. There was no hacker, nothing fun and exciting about it really....
