Now that we have IMAP access :D , due to our cpanel upgrade, how do we access it?

Does this mean that any pop account can now be read through an IMAP reader (such as outlook express)? Though I tried to do that setting up the server to imap.domain.com instead of mail.domain.com and it didn't work.

Hi eric, IMAP is actually setup on port 143 and yes you should be able to view it with any imap mail client. Try to use mail.domain.com and see if it works.

Hi Tal,

I tried it at mail.domain.com and got the following:

The connection to the server has failed:
Configuration:
Account: domain IMAP
Server: mail.domain.net
User name: me@domain.net
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800ccc0e

That's using outlook express 6. If you'd like me to submit a ticket for this instead of posting it here, just let me know.

Thanks!

Eric,
Please submit a ticket, and then post back here with the fix. I know that we have others using IMAP now, so they will also be able to shed some light on the subject here.

As requested the fix from Steven:

Ok we tested it with Outlook Express and we got it to work. mail.domain.com
user@domain.com should be the username
make sure that you first sync the folders.

Let us know how it goes.

I double checked to make sure it was set up in this fashion and it worked this time :) I was able to access the folders and email with no problems :)
