LOL!
That happens everyday in my house. Last night there were 2 of the monsters in here. I don't mind so much, but my fiance is a major arachnophobe! Fun and games. ;o) I think finding 5 of them on his car in the middle of the night was his worst moment so far at this house. Or possibly the time he looked in his rear-view mirror, while on a freeway & doing the speedlimit (110km!), and saw a massive one on the back window...so many incidents to choose from!
Personally, as long as they aren't jam-packed with stuff that can kill me (like the little redbacks I've found under the toilet lid - sneaky sods - I think this is where the term 'size doesn't matter' really comes into its own!), they can go where ever they like. Although preferrably not into my teddybear slippers - that's just disturbing!

OMG that is just wrong. So very hideously wrong.
So, Black-Artist, you play EQ. I'm an addict myself. Nice to meet you. (I play on the Tunare server, though)

Nah I don't play EQ, at the moment I am passing my time playing Quake III CCTF & Counterstrike but thats only until Star Wars Galaxies comes out (in months probably :( )

Hmm, nasty spiders...
You should know that almost all spiders (even really small ones) have some form of poison.
Though most will not kill you, they can damage nerves close to the bite at least.
And some people get other weird reactions.
And watch out for Tarantulas on the wall,
they can jump up 2 metres if they are large enough (6-7 feet) ;)
EDIT:
OOH that reminds me of the time I decided to open the lid which said: "Do not open, the spiders are alive!"
I decided to try to open it, (they weren't as large as that one, but I think they were poisonous.
Now the spiders in there weren't moving at all...
As soon as I start moving the lid those suckers got their groove on.
That lid never made it more than half an inch up ;)

Did you read that whole thread (it's like 5 pages)? There are some gnarly spider stories in there.

the spider on page 8 is huge, anyone seen the documentary on the 'robot' spider it not robotic, but it walks like it is and its really slow it can't run, but my god can it jump.

Good point, Sardtok!
Spooky fact #194
You know those common little 'daddy long legs' spiders that seem to get everywhere & seem mostly harmless? They have the most poisonous venom of any spider - but their fangs aren't long enough to penetrate human skin. ;o)
Okay, I'll stop freaking everyone out now. ;o)
Carla
PS I can't believe I know that fact - I watch wayyyy too many nature documentaries, obviously. ;o)

Didn't read it all,
loved the one with the outhouse during summercamp.
It almost gave me psychosomatichally induced pain,
and I haven't felt that in years (due to hearing too many "nutcracking" stories)...
Also there were some other nice stories about snakes in the toilet bowl and such.
Banana spiders sound interesting... ;)
