Hi,

Does InsiderHosting offer RealMedia/WindowsMedia support?

Sorry I missed this post, no we don't support RealMedia/WindowsMedia in that we don't have real media servers installed on our servers. You still however can stream legal mp3's if that is what you are looking to do.

If the user has windowsmedia player or realplayer installed they will be able to stream the files.

I think you can stream WMA/RA if people are getting the files from the standard Apache server, but there are no other servers running on other ports specifically for audio streaming.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone opens a WMA/RA file via a HTTP URL it will still stream right?!

Thanks for the responses. I was actually hoping to embed wmv into Flash movies. I don't know if it can be done without WindowsMedia Server. I'll look into it and experiment.
