I am from Southern Maryland (Yeeeehawwww), St. Mary's County... Sara if your big in the navy, Pax River might ring a bell.
I can't think of really anything else to say right now, if I do I shall edit. :)

Hi!
I am Endora and would like to also introduce myself.
Although I am admittedly not the most proficient webmistress- I have other strengths to make up for it.... (smile!)
I am really happy with Insiderhosting BTW..... and I would also like to mention that.....
Profatus.com (above) ...very interesting site. I do like it very much!
Love and flight! Endora

HI Folks,
I'm Eric and I'm living in a suburb of Albany, NY. I am a grad student working on my PhD in counseling psychology and I also teach undergraduate psych classes on the side.
I have a bunch of interests/hobbies from cooking to biking to web design.
My compliments to Steven on the great board :D

Since everyone else is introducing themselves, I'll go ahead and do the same.
I'm Danny and I live in Richmond, VA.. for now. Once August 22nd rolls around, I'm moving to London for grad school. Goodbye hot, humid weather and pickup trucks plastered with NASCAR stickers!
Most of my hobbies and interests seem to involve computers in one way or another. Oh, and I'm the biggest Chris Elliott fan on earth. Probably off of earth as well.
And I've been extremely happy with InsiderHosting so far. Steven really goes out of his way to help on those rare occasions when something goes wrong. InsiderHosting is run so so so much better than any hosting company I've dealt with before.

I must have entirely missed this thread.....
Well, I am Jason, from Dayton, Ohio. Former military (Security Forces) and left to be a computer geek in the civilian sector. :D
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have three lovely girls.
I spend a lot of time on the PC (which the wife calls "The Mistress") doing things like dabbling in web work, trying to start up a hosting business, as well as playing online first person games. I recently started up a PC Tech/Geek online community called "The PC Tool Bin" (http://www.pctoolbin.com).
And I have been very satisfied with switching to insiderhosting.....thanks Steve and staff!

Everyone seems so friendly here. I suppose I should introduce myself. :)
So, hello! My name is Brooke. Currently I reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In about a year, however, I'll be getting married and moving to warm and sunny Austin, Texas. I'm twenty-two years old, and I have plans to pursue a career in graphic/web design.

Oh, what to say about me...
I've been with IH for all of three days now, they being my second hosting provider. I'm still very new to domain hosting management. I got into this because my long time email address was going away, and I wanted to be sure I could keep the replacement address forever, and figured owning the domain was the only way to do that. Since it's included, I'm trying to figure out what to do with the whole web side of the coin.
My preferred outdoor activities are hiking, photography and sailing. Indoors, I mostly cook, bake, read or play on the computer (coding, photo and graphics editing).
I'm a former software engineer, now a grad student, in Boston.

hola!
were are all the people from the southwest? well my name is Ed and I live in Albuquerque, NM. Most states on the east coast dont realize that we are apart of the US. yes people there have asked me if i have a green card. (i am a 6 ft white guy mind you). at any rate i dabble in a little bit of everything .I.T. related trying to find my niche. i spend most of my time trying to get back into shape so that i may one day be competitive in the worlds greatest sport, cycling (read lance armstrong). beyond that i maintain a couple of low profile sites, attend college at UNM and enjoy harassing steven via AIM. IH is by far the greatest hosting company on the planet!! thanks for everything.

Hi, my name is...Grant.
I've been with IH for a couple weeks now and this seems to be a really great small community of people. The support and performance has been simply outstanding. I hope that this will continue as IH grows.
Anyway, I'm currently residing in Northern California. I'm a computer geek at heart, and love to play around with new technologies. I love to play and watch sports, especially baseball. I try to get out to the golf course to improve my hacking talents when I can. I would like to become a better web designer/developer. I can pick-up on the technical side of things, but my creative side is well....far from creative.
I must say IH is far better than my last hosting company. Keep up the great work! :)

I guess I completely overlooked this thread!
Let's see...I've been with IH for about 2 weeks now, and already I'm so much happier than with my last two hosts!
As you can see, I'm Stacey; I'm 25 years old, married to my high school sweetie 3 years this month. We have a 20 month old little boy, two cats and a dog! :D We live in very hot south Georgia! I currently work part time as a nurse, and soon to be childbirth educator.
That's about the gist of my blah life
Welcome, welcome! YAY, new people!!
Stacey, hubby and I lived in St. Marys/Kingsland area for 3 wonderful years. Are you near there? :)
Stacey
09-13-2002, 06:24 AM
Sara,
I've been in that area many times, but its a good 3+ hour drive from us! We are more southwest in Georgia.
Okay Stacey! :) I have been to TN a few times through the great state of Hotlanta. Man, that's a trip to cross the state from Savannah!!
I love that part of the country though. I was raised in Florida and I will always live below the line. Although I couldn't get pregnant with either of the girls until we moved to NY. But that's another story.
:D

I'm Aaron, my wife Jennifer and I live in Northern California with our newborn, Liam, and our two dogs. I work for the State of California (as a secretary for the time being) and Jen is a full-time mom. My education/experience is pretty wide ranging. I've had probably a couple of dozen jobs including telemarketing, bookstore clerk, package handler for FedEx, and engineering technician at Intel. I was in the US Navy for three years. I graduated from Heald Technical college in 1999. I am just now trying to learn web design. I am also an aspiring writer. I'm 33 years old and my birthday is in November.
How's that for a rambling all-over-the-map introduction. It's very nice to meet you all.

Wow, I'm impressed with all the East Coasters here. I myself living here in "Slower Lower" Delaware am not all that far from many of you.
For those of you not familar with the neighborhood, northern Delaware is the home of many large corporations like DuPont, banks like First USA, and MBNA, and now the drug company AstroZeneca has a large regional HQ in the Wilmington, DE area. Southern Delaware is pretty much agricultural (chicken farms) and tourism (the beaches), hence "Slower Lower" Delaware.
I have been involved in technology for many years, and at times it can be more than just a profession, it can be an obsession. Glad to have this opportunity to chat with you all.

Hi all, guess it's my turn :wave
Just got signed up today with Steven's help. My name is Palmer, yes that's my first name. I'm from Ohio, the N.E. area south of Cleveland. I'm a Work-at-home dad doing web design in between taking care of my almost 5 year old Noah and 1 and 1/2 year old Evan. My wife Sherri is expecting our third child in August. Just got the ultrasound today, looks like a healthy blob.
On the weekends during the warmer months I'm a part-time golf pro. I am a full time Mentor at www.SitePoint.com , that's where I found out about InsiderHosting.
I enjoy spending time with my family and golfing when I get a chance. I'm active with my church and run our golf league. I just started a new site about a month ago which is doing very well so far. Design Outpost (http://www.designoutpost.com) has a unique way to get yourself a logo or template for your site, check it out to see what I mean. :)
So I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. It seems like a neat group you have here.

welcome to the flock. I'm fairly new here too, about a two days or so.
As like the majority of people here i am too a webdesigner, but my real forte lies in PHP, also i had quite a major ideological change and my want for capitalist gain has dropped to almost nothing. Subsistance is the key to a happy life. That's why i do alot of design for charities for nothing, and help people with whatever i can.
Always, most know about me here, so welcome and enjoy!

Palmer
01-24-2003, 06:11 AM
I thought that was your daughter too. I'm guessing now that that's just a model with the dress your daughter wore. The picture below this entry...
We found it!
Well, we went to the Karen Eagle store here in VA Beach and found the dress! She tried on about 7 or 8 before this one. It was a size 6, she wears a 2, so she had it for the last one to try on. I saw her in it and just got all teary. She looked so beautiful in it! Now, we have it on order, then, they have to take it in as they only have a size 4, no 2's. They have an alteration shop there. Once it's in the store, she goes in and brings her shoes. They take it in and then we go back down to make sure it's right. Her prom is in May, the dress should be done the first week in April.
Isn't it gorgeous?
Yup, just a model from the Karen Eagle catalog. :) She hasn't worn it yet, it's being ordered.

Hi, I'm Frances.
I just turned 25, and I'm battling off quarter-century angst.

I honestly do NOT know where he got those fish sticks Aaron. According to the treaty we drafted, I am still abiding by paragraph 17, sub-paragraph b, sub-note 4, which states
"....SmackDaddy shall not provide fishsticks to any forum whore..."
In fact, I am not currently in possession of ANY seafood product! So dnxnet's hostility is not in any way shape or form, a collaboration of any kind with any other forum whore. Honest.

Oh, I am fully aware of the penalties of said collaboration.....but one issue that was never ironed out in the Seafood Summit of SpongeBob Squarepants, was the exact definition of "unprovoked" attacks. THAT was my scheme! And I already did. She said he has pulled stunts like this before and told me he would be grounded for at least a month. Unfortunately, she said he was still allowed to access the internet, so at least he won't be able to play "Fish Stick War" with the local neighborhood kids......well, actually, she said they live out in the bush.....and the nearest neighborhood kid is 17.3 miles away. But she assured me that his make-believe friend "Sammy" was not allowed to come over during his grounding.
