I have some concearns about a few things.
the plan i have now has the following
space 1 gig
bandwidth 30 gig
Multiple Domain Hosting 30
IP Address Dedicated
most other services match. we also use gzip and some other scripts.
We are growing pretty rapidly. we average about a gig a day in transfer with gzip enabled.
questions i have so far are so.
1. how many sites so you have on a server?
2. if there is scripts or something like gzip that we need will you add it to the server?
3. What type payments do you accept?
I'm sure i'll have more, but these will do for now.
Thanks in advance

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the post and welcome to Insiderhosting.com forums :)
1) Depending on the makeup of accounts, we host anywhere from 175-225 domains per server. We are not shy or hesitant about bringing new servers online, as we always want to make sure that all accounts on our servers have a lot of room to grow. We always want to maintain the integrity of our servers and have low server loads, thus ensuring that your site(s) will load with blazing speed.
2) We have gzip installed on our servers, and our policy on adding modules is as follows:
Once a request is submitted via our helpdesk to add a module, we will then acknowledge the ticket. Following our response, we will look at the module and see if it will have any adverse affect on the server. If it is determined that the module will be fine to install, we will be delighted to install it for you. We will then followup with you and let you know that the module is installed. We have installed many modules at client's requests.
3) We accept credit cards only.
4) We will be glad to entertain any other questions you might have.

-Steven Dennis here, the fix-it guy for the city of headbangers (off topic central)... Just got a couple of quick questions.
1) You say 175-225 domains for each server - that kind of scares me. Do you offer any semi-dedicated packages? Well, not to sound arrogant or anything, but any server we go on is kinda brought to its knees.
2) Is Zend Optimizer installed? What about spellchecking capabilities (aspell and pspell libraries installed, php compiled with --with-pspell)?
3) How is downtime treated? 9x.x% uptime guarantee, if it is not met then are we refunded for the month of service or only for the amount of downtime?
4) Do we get SSH access? Addon domains/multiple hosted domains? (e.g. reseller-capable... we have multiple sites that we host on the same account and would like them to each have their own domain names)
TIA :)

Hi Dennis, thanks for your post. We have top of the line servers, and all have low load averages. We don't want the servers working too hard, as we know that that will be detrimental to both the server as well as you the client, and finally us as the hosting provider. We use script killers which kill any runaway scripts, loops, etc... We always want to maintain load averages less that 1-1.5 and high CPU idle percentages. This combination ensures that our servers will be running optimally. If we find a site is using more than their fair share of the server's resources we contact them to figure out what the best course of action would be.
We also offer semi-dedicated hosting packages where there are only 3-5 semi dedicated clients per server.
2) Is Zend Optimizer installed? What about spellchecking capabilities (aspell and pspell libraries installed, php compiled with --with-pspell)?
Yes Zend Optimizer is installed version 2.1.0. Both aspell and pspell libraries are installed on all of our servers. I do not believe that they are compiled into php.
3) How is downtime treated? 9x.x% uptime guarantee, if it is not met then are we refunded for the month of service or only for the amount of downtime?
We don't have an uptime guarantee, but we do get a network guarantee of 99.9% from our datacenters. Our clients know that we only use top quality networks with top quality tier 1 bandwidth providers. We run our servers very well, and downtime is usually non-existant. If there ever is downtime, you will be notified of it. Should downtime be really be an issue, we will issue downtime credits, as we have no problem with that.
4) Do we get SSH access? Addon domains/multiple hosted domains? (e.g. reseller-capable... we have multiple sites that we host on the same account and would like them to each have their own domain names)
SSH access is not enabled by default on any account. Resellers and multiple domain clients get access to Webhost Manager where they can add accounts, delete accounts, and tell us how much they love us ;)

If we find a site is using more than their fair share of the server's resources we contact them to figure out what the best course of action would be. Hmm, what about doing mysql imports or dumps? Those are usually relatively intensive but only for a short time. We prefer to set up cron jobs where a series of mysql dumps are made to a password-protected directory and then the whole public_html directory is tarballed and gzipped for easy backing up to our hard drives (once a night, at non-peak hours). Since two of our databases are well over 100mb in size, this basically translates to instant process killage.
We also offer semi-dedicated hosting packages where there are only 3-5 semi dedicated clients per server. How much does that cost?
Yes Zend Optimizer is installed version 2.1.0. Both aspell and pspell libraries are installed on all of our servers. I do not believe that they are compiled into php. Would it be too much trouble to link me to a phpinfo page on any of your servers? I can probably get a bunch of info from that. If php wasn't compiled with --with-pspell, how hard would we have to beg to get it? :D

-Steven Do we get WHM with the semi-dedicated package as well? One more thing... As a part of the PWH transfer, will our account be considered multiple domain, since we are utilizing addon domains with our current account?

For those that have private needs with SSH, we will discuss it on a case by case basis.
For the phpinfo page, I have messaged you since we use anonymous hostnames, we wouldn't want that info posted.
Semi-dedicated accounts start at $100 per month, and WHM is given to all SD accounts.
