Does anyone know of a decent Help Desk script similar to Perl Desk but PHP?

Thanks!

Pete

Peter,
Are you looking for a free solution, or do you mind paying for a helpdesk. The answer will depend on what we recommend.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reply, I actually decided to go with PerlDesk and just finished installing it on my primary domain.

I had a few problems with installation before but sorted them about 2 hours ago. I was going to make my own but I just don't have the time right now and PerlDesk seems pretty cool. :)

I'm trying to get my new site all put together so I can start reselling the space from your servers rather than just my primary one if you know what I mean (don't want to mention other company names here:)).

BTW, great forum, should prove very helpful :)

Peter,
Perldesk is great, as we use it ourselves. We have however been looking for a different helpdesk, a paid helpdesk because support issues are generally better with all pay software. For php/mysql I recommend the following
www.phpsupportdesk.com
www.ihelpsupportdesk.com
www.kayayo.com
http://www.voxel.net/projects/ticketsmith/
www.deskpro.com

and too many others to list. Personally, I think that Perldesk is better than the above helpdesks at this time, but the development of PD has slowed down greatly.

Thanks for the comments on the board.
Hope this helps

Thanks Steven,

I think I'll stick with PerlDesk as it seems to do everything I require.

I think $150 for the PHPDesk is a bit much. I could make my own in about a week, now theres a business idea...lol!

Pete :)

great, can't wait to test it out. Incidentally we have another client that is creating a helpdesk application with php and a mysql backend. I will see if he will post here and give an update.

Yes, I am currently in the progress of designing a helpdesk script, that in my opinion is quite powerful and feature rich.

Some features include:
- Full site integration
- Integration with vBulletin
- Integration with phpBB, OpenBB, and others (Not In Initial Release)
- Server Status
- Knowledgebase
- Frequenty Asked Questions
- Modularity
- Standard Ticket Functions: Open, Close, Reassign, Assign, Comment, etc.
- Templated
- Tiered System: Root Administrator, Administrator, Tech, General Support, and Custom Levels
- Easy To Use Frontend
- PHP / MySQL
- Hopeful cPanel Integration (As I said hopeful)

-- EDIT 1 --
- Client Notices
- News Flashes
-- END EDIT 1 --

Hmmm, I think I am missing a couple things. I will edit once I remember.

Please note this has not been released as of yet, but I will be shooting for a public beta within the next week. Stay tuned.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
