We have started kernel upgrades on our servers. We will be going to the 2.6.14.2/3 version . There will be some minor performance enhancements for the servers that have the 2.4 stable kernel versions with regard to the SATA drives, while the ones that are already on the 2.6.x set this is mostly a version upgrade. Also, many of the servers have about 150 day uptimes, and should be rebooted. Servers take 3-5 minutes to be rebooted and then return back to normal.
We will update you in the respective server forums when we are rebooting and when we are done.
Side note... We are installing something on ALL of our servers, that many of you have asked for. This will be completed tomorrow as well. It's well worth it
