phpbb mod problem

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have experience with phpbb. I have the latest version installed and all was fine until I installed a mod called Define Topic Sort Order which allows the user to view forums in date order etc. For some reason it has affected the registration process and now new users can't login.

Any help will be appreciated as I would prefer not to remove the mod, it's quite an important one.

(If it's the same MOD, then it looks like there is either no more support and/or development for it)
