osCommerce 2.2MS or osCommerce 2.2-CVS?

Hi there,
I'm having some trouble w/ the OScommerce install. After installing it from the "AddOn Scripts" I realized it's actually the 2.2-CVS version not 2.2MS like the install page says.

My includes/application_top.php page states -

Define the project version define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCommerce 2.2-CVS')

However, despite seeming to be 2.2-CVS, the upgrade isn't in option on my Cpanel page.

Any thoughts? Is this help-ticket worthy?

Personally, I'd go with Zen Cart or some fork of osCommerce as the above is pretty outdated.

Hhhmmm...I suppose you are right. It's been almost a year since I compared different shopping cart options. I will do some comparisions and choose another maybe.

If you look on the osCommerce site they are using 2.2 with a date of 2003. That is pretty old. If you look at the source its a mess and there is no templating system. But others have addressed the shortcomings of osCommerce and forked new versions to take care of the templating and security. Like Zen Cart. So I would definitely check those out....

Thanks for pointing me in that direction - I was so stuck on getting osCommerce to do what I wanted I forgot to look around for something better.
