ftp pasive vs active mode

Hi all.

I am usinf filezilla ftp and the default parameter for this is precisly default, so, I am not aware of which is the one we use or have to use.

Any of you knows what is the correct parameter to use in this active / pasive mode within an ftp client?

Any recommendation for this is greatly appreciatted.
