Banning a domain

There is an option to ban a domain in the control panel, but it asks for the domain IP. How do you find out the IP of a domain, using the name? Thanks in advance.

In your Cpanel, click on "Advanced Tools", then "Network Tools". There should be an option there for "Domain Lookup". Enter the domain name as domainname.tld, then click "Lookup". It will return the IP number that is associated with that domain.

Note: You have to be careful banning by the IP number of a domain. If a webhost assigns the same IP number to all domains that reside on a server, you are, in effect, banning all of those domains, not just the one domain that you are targeting.
