Mailing list spam

I'm kinda really pissed at this. The mailing list I set up for a group, got spammed last night. Good thing I have to authorized any email addy not on the list, so it only got as far as my email box, not anyone elses.

Okay, what can I do?

Hi Sara,
What mailing list application are you using? Once a user is registered to post to the mailing list and he decides to spam the list, the only thing you really can do is moderate all new posts to the list. That way you approve what gets sent out and what doesn't.

It's someone from a company using my list for their spam. I guess I wasn't clear in the first post.

You should be able to moderate new posts to your list. So that this type of thing won't happen.

Hi Sara,
Yeah I know how you feel, but there will always be these types of people who try to spam. It's an unfortunate fact of life. I have received 15 spam messages from the same person over the last day or so, if I receive one more, I'm going to call his/her ISP.
