View Full Version : Email Blockers
Curious to know what happens to an email that has been blocked? IE, does it get deleted, returned to sender?
For example, I add the word "mortgage" in the subject field to my blockers list and when someone emails me with mortgage in the subject line what happens to the email. Deleted or returned or something all together different?
Thank you.

Depends on your program, but in MS Outlook, it simply gets placed in the "Trash" for deletion.
No, I think you are misunderstanding my question the block is placed in the CPanel for my account on Insider Hosting. So the block takes place before it ever gets to Outlook.

Not exactly misunderstood.....you never said that in your original post. ;)
I'll leave the IH people to answer this one.....

If you have the email blocker turned on, you will not receive the emails as it will be blocked at the server level, and will never make it to your inbox.

But the original question was whether or not it bounced. I just tried it, and sent mail from another account. It didn't get delivered, and didn't seem to bounce, so I'd say it just gets dropped.
