Hello,

I am in the process of changing hosts to you guys. I've already set up an account, and I've received all the information regarding my login.

My current host is GoDaddy.com. I've already uploaded the files I need transfered, so I submitted for a DNS change. I got an error message saying the Domain is in (pendmod); therefore my DNS is still with Godaddy.

My question is this, do I have to wait 24-72 hours before I can change my DNS to Insiderhosting, or should I already be able to do so?

I've emailed GoDaddy about the error message, but I still haven't received a response. I apologize if this isn't an Insiderhosting problem (which I'm sure it's probably not).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Karen,
That appears to be a GoDaddy problem because we have a lot of clients that are using our nameservers, and many who use GoDaddy. Maybe it is a technical glitch on their end. If you would like we would be more than happy to login to your GoDaddy account and make the appropriate changes. All you need to do is register on our helpdesk located at https://secure.insiderhosting.com/cgi-bin/helpdesk/pdesk.cgi , and give us your login name/password and we will make the changes for you.

I use GoDaddy as the registrar of my domains, though I've never hosted there. I think I once got an error simmilar to what you described when I went to switch from my last host to here. Trying again a couple minutes later worked fine.

Thank you both for the responses! They replied to my email and said that my domain had been locked, although I requested it not to be. I changed my DNS to InsiderHosting and I didn't get an error message this time. I'm just waiting to see if it goes through (crossing fingers). They said it can take up to 48 hours for it to be visible on the net.

just so you know, your site is resolving for us on our server, and the changes that you made have in fact been successfull. Also note, that it can take anywhere from 24-72 hours for the site to completely resolve to our servers around the world as it is predicated on how fast the various ISPs update their registry.
