I would love to see you guys start an affiliate program, so that we can make some money for referring clients to Insiderhosting.com

I concur....that would be nice. I have several people interested in your reseller accounts.... :D

Well that is what we thought, so why not reward you for sending clients our way. Now here is the next question that we are contemplating. Would you prefer to just be credited for the referral on next months billing cycle, or would you prefer to get a check from Insiderhosting?

Hi Victoria,

Personally, I would prefer being credited. It also saves you the time and expense of cutting a check. Though for those who refer a lot of folks, you could do it where you are credited up to a certain amount and then sent a check if it exceeds some amount. Does that make sense?

So, depending on how much you get for a referral, you would be credited up to say $100 a month, then sent a check for anything over $100. Just a thought :)

I think it should be an option, if that is not to much trouble. Everybody has different preferences so check and credit should be made selectable.

Thank you all for your feeback as we will evaluate your responses and talk it over amongst ourselves. We are aiming to add this program within the next few weeks.

Any headway on the affiliate program talks?

Sorry about the delay in this offering but we just want to make sure that we are going about it the right way. See affiliate programs are very hard to setup, so we are debating 2 things at the moment.

1) Create our own affiliate program where users will signup on our site, etc.... (much more control on our end, we are looking at integrating it with our billing manager)

2) Create an affiliate program with third party software, and then you would signup on the third party's site. (less control but initially more publicity), because they will already have the publishers waiting to signup for our affiliate program.

Let me know your thoughts.

IMHO, whatever is easier for you all to do and track. If we refer people to you, I say do what will benefit you in terms of ease of use......that's my 2 cents. I wouldn't mind either way.....

I like the idea of clients signing up on IH. That's what they do with the other affiliate programs we are in! ;) Easier all the way around. I cannot wait to get started!

I agree with Sara, as its easier and allows IH more control, even if it may require a bit of work to integrate everything. In the end it will give IH the most flexibility and would probably be cheaper too since you don't have to go with a third party site.

PS. Just have to say I love your Avatar SmackDaddy! :D I think that looked like me this morning before my hair cut :D

I definitely like the idea of an affiliate program, whether third party or not. As for the option of either having our account credited, or receiving a check from IH instead; I believe most customers -myself included- would opt for personally being able to choose between the two ourselves.
