I just noticed Horde as a webmail option. Pretty cool in that spamcop uses horde so I'm used to the gui. The one thing that bothers me, though, is that it's adding this to the bottom of sent mails:
-------------------------------------------------
This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/
Any way to get it to stop doing that? I don't much care for the idea of emails I send from my domain adding what is essentially spam to the bottom of all my messages.
I am not sure that we can take this out, we will check with cpanel if this will pose a problem or not.

Thanks.

It's an advertisment from the makers of the program.

Well....hmmm....wish I had known about the change/update....I have three clients total who are like "What is this?!?!?"
Will this allow support for checking other POP mail? Is there a mod for it to allow it?

Smackdaddy,
This was just introduced into the control panel. Taken from the horde/imp site
IMP is the Internet Messaging Program. It is written in PHP and provides webmail access to IMAP and POP3 accounts.
There are currently two branches of IMP. IMP 3.1 is the current production version of the stable branch, and is strongly recommended over 2.2. (IMP 3.0 was the previous production version.) It requires PHP 4.1.0 and version 2.0 of the Horde framework. It adds advanced features such as searching multiple mailboxes, identities, and a hierarchical mailbox navigator, as well as a cleaner, redesigned user interface.
IMP is a set of PHP scripts that implement an IMAP based webmail system. Assuming you have an account on a server that supports IMAP, you can use an installation of IMP to check your mail from anywhere that you have web access
.....
The reasons why this mail client was introduced is two fold. First there was a big security hole in uebimiau. Also the development for Neomail is no longer, that is why cpanel went with this mail program.
As far as the removal of the link, we are still awaiting a response from cpanel.

I don't know anything about cpanel but spamcop uses horde and I just tested sending a messge from the webmail and there was no ad at the bottom of my message. I think it would be wrong to force us to have that line in our email considering we are essentially paying for the service. I don't complain when yahoo does it because I'm getting that service for free. This is different.
Keep us posted, please.

You ask and ye shall receive. We have a temporary solution in place while we await a response from cpanel. The link is now removed.
Enjoy.

Did this get secretly and quietly fixed? It doesn't seem to be adding the ad anymore.
Actually the fix was quite simple, as we don't upgrade cpanel nightly we do it manually. So if cpanel doesn't get updated the fix won't be overwritten.
