Affiliate Program Survey/Feedback

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you had ever joined an affiliate program before?

The reason I am asking is to get an idea of the features you would expect as an affiliate. So far I have the following 'format':

1) Web based Control Panel so you can see your earnings, which will include, order value, goods purchased by shopper, date/time ordered.

2) Automated emails to notify you that an order has been made through your affiliate ID.

3) The ability to select up to 10 different banner ads, all sizes and several Flash ads.

4) Ability to view number of referred visitors even if they didnt purchase.

5) Ability to generate different affiliate ID codes if you have several sites and wish to add links/banners from multiple sites, without the need for rejoining.

If you can think of anything else let me know. This will work by cookies and IP address just incase the user has disabled cookies. Cookies will remain for 12 months on the users PC (unless they delete them which is impossible to know).

Last question, what percentage of order value would you expect and would you be put off joining an affiliate program if the site only accepted orders from within the UK only?

Yes, I would be put off on the only in the UK aspect. I would like to think it would be world wide.

I have the hosting company on an affiliate program with a domain registar and they have a pretty good program set up. I will be moving to our own soon I hope!

I like numbers 2 & 4, those are cool!

And you wanted to know the % I would want? Hm, I will have to think about that one, but I want enough to make it worth my while to send someone to you. Y'know?

This sounds great, let me brainstorm as we have an afilliate program manager which seems to be a great solution and we would love to key you in on it, as this one isn't php, and we love php.

Yep, we are pitting groundbreak.com's affiliate program against the one that modernbill developed to see which offers the best features and the easiest administration. We are waiting on MB4 which should be released any day, so that we can test it.
