Hi,
Is the reselling of reseller plans still available and is there any reference to insiderhosting in WHM when you create an account like there was before, or have you managed to change that?
If I don't host with you, as I don't at present, am I able to still resell your reseller plans, or do I have to have an account?
How are things here lately, still good server reliability? Any problems??
Thanks
Pete :)
P.S I see you haven't sorted the smilies out..lol

Ola Peter,
At this time the resell the reseller packages are only available to our clients. There are no more references to Insiderhosting.com anywhere in WHM, secure certificates, etc...
Stability has been great. I'll find a way to get more smiles on the board.

OK thanks Steven, how long does it take to set a reseller up? I assume I can use their domain as their name server right?
As this isn't open to non clients, does this mean I can still sell them if I sign up for one myself two minutes before buying another reseller to sell on?.. or is there a time limit to wait. So basically my first purchase would be 2 x resellers, one for me and one for them :) ... would that be OK?
Thanks
Pete

Hey peter,
It doesn't take that long at all to setup a reseller account, providing your credit card passes all the fraud checks .... We will setup your account with special priveldges, so you can give IPs for those resellers, etc.. What happens is that you setup the client's main domain on your WHM give them their own dedicated IP address, (so this is done right away, don't have to wait on us at all) and then you then order the reseller package from us. You need to tell us how much space and bandwidth you allocated to that reseller account, and we then will give that account reseller status, and then give that reseller their own nameservers and we will also give that reseller control over that account. We will email you back with the details. That is all there is to it.
Yes, your purchase is 2X reseller accounts

Hi Tal,
Just one last question, is the IH Panel skin in the options for my reseller? All traces of insiderhosting would need to be removed, for obvious reasons.
Thanks very much
Pete :)
Actually we are no longer using the IHpanel skin for our new accounts, and we are slowly migrating our older clients over to our new skins, because they have awesome features. We offer unbranded themes, so there are no links to insiderhosting http://forums.insiderhosting.com/showthread.php?threadid=62
Take a look at the demo http://cpaneldemo.insiderhosting.com obviously minus the ihpanel theme.

Hi Tal,
Does all the auto-installer stuff work without problems? I know that most of the CPanel default stuff never installed before.
The CPanel skins look great :)
As stated in the other post, as soon as I sell one I will sign up for one for myself as well, as the client will be paying for it, unbeknown to them...lol.
I look forward to coming back. :)

Pete,
There are no reports of any problems with the new autoinstaller scripts. We look forward to having you. :)

This is a point that I raised with steven, although you offer unbranded themes, as soon as the client has access to WHM, the can choose the branded ones, as they are still an option, and therefore their is still a link to insider hosting.
This is a reason why I am hesitant to advertise reseller accounts on my site.

Thanks for the post Mick.
Can Steven or someone else tell me 100% if this is correct. *Any* reference to IH in WHM means I can not resell these, so please be 100% sure, otherwise it will waste everyones time.
When a account is created by a user, what shows in the output for the new account?
+===================================+
| New Account Info |
+===================================+
| Domain: domain.com
| Ip: 209.197.232.11 (n)
| HasCgi: y
| UserName: ****
| PassWord: ***
| CpanelMod: ***
| HomeRoot: /home
| Quota: 50 Meg
| NameServer: ?????????
Does NameServer: still show as insiderhosting.com like before?
Thanks
Pete

I'm quite sure Steve has seen it through that insiderhosting.com's name servers are not used when you create a new account for a client.

Here's the output when I make a new account. I am a reseller as well:
+===================================+
| New Account Info |
+===================================+
| Domain: bsaccount.com
| Ip: 66.227.5.233 (n)
| HasCgi: y
| UserName: bsaccoun
| PassWord: *******
| CpanelMod: bluelagoon
| HomeRoot: /home
| Quota: 30 Meg
| NameServer: ns1.elinuxservers.com
+===================================+
pete,
As chris says, when you create an account in whm the nameservers show as: ns1.elinuxservers.com not ns3.insiderhosting.com as they did.
Sorry if I confused this for you.
What I was refering to was the fact that in whm, their are two versions of each of the three new themes, one set is designed for reseller use, and has links to insiderhosting billing, and insiderhosting helpdesk. The other set is designed for our customers to use and don't have these links in.
This is the only direct link to insiderhosting.
However, given that resellers can create custom themes, these could in fact belong to a reseller of yours.
If you allowed your resellers to make custom themes, their would be nothing stopping them, or yourself from branding those custom themes or adding similar links, and those custom themes would, I beleive, be accessable to all other resellers on that server.
