I've been using InvisionBoard since, oh, about march or april. It's version 1.1.2 I haven't touched the database or admin panel for a few days, and I'm pretty sure someone posted earlier today, but when I went to log in a few hours ago it was fubar'd. It claimed ibf_forums.myi was missing, and within the database (I was using phpmyadmin) in the list it was listed as "in use" and when I tried to click it it said ibf_forums.myi was missing again.

Not being too familiar with mysql I'm wondering what are .myi files, why would one go missing? I was able to "close" the forum, drop the forums table and recreate it with the sql script I had backed up, but now even though I set the forum "open" again no one can post (it says the forums are set read only, despite that none are). I keep going through the options trying to figure out what I'm missing.

Any ideas?

Maybe this will help..

I use invisionboard and i get that error in one of my boards.
In fact I have a discussion in the invision support boards. I've also contacted Helpdesk here to help out .

I call it the mysql error:1016 error

http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=77704 (read this thread)

Fixing the error in the phpmyadmin is a temporary fix . Most likely it will come back again. Someone suggested that our host "recompile PHP with mysql4 client"

*edit- I did notice that the mysql error occured after apache restarted or whatever happened to modena server a few days ago.

Thanks for pointing those links out, at least I know it's not something I did. Now the question becomes why is it insisting everything is read only when nothing is set read only. Bleh.
